Israeli genocide in Gaza awakened the world to America’s “Dark Crusade” in historic Palestine. Israel’s disregard of civilian life, Christian holy sites, and international law is turning the world against the United States. But what is driving the unconditional support of Israel by U.S. politicians, including President Trump?

In his groundbreaking book, Dark Crusade: The Israel Lobby and Christian Zionism, Dr. Clifford A. Kiracofe explains how the unholy alliance between the Israel lobby and Christian Zionists has led to the brink of a major war in the Middle East. The hostility to Arab and Palestinian interests of the so-called "Zionist lobby"" in the U.S. has long been recognized but it is another less familiar element in U.S. politics that increasingly calls the shots on Capitol Hill, directing the course of American foreign policy: Christian Zionism. Congressman Tom Massie describes most members of Congress as having a well- connected pro-Israel “handler" but conspicuously, these handlers do not have to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

Protestant fundamentalists who believe in “dispensationalist” eschatology view the modern secular state of Israel as a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. They view its creation as the beginning of the “End Times” final countdown that will ultimately result in the thousand-year reign of Christ. But how did this bizarre and unbiblical worldview come to become the pervasive End Times eschatology in the evangelical church when it did not exist in the Early Church or throughout the first 1,800 history of Christianity?

During his eleven years working in the United States Senate, including as Senior Professional Staff Member on the Foreign Relations Committee, the author observed at first hand the deep-seated and malign influence of Christian Zionism on American foreign policy and is uniquely qualified to assess its significance. Dark Crusade offers the most nuanced analysis yet of this dangerous and complex phenomenon that seeks to drive the world into World War III.

"Dr. Clifford Kiracofe’s work presents a sobering analysis of America's strategic predicament in the Near East, addressing the influence of the Israel Lobby and its ally, Christian Zionism, on the formulation of U.S. Foreign and Defense Policy. If Americans are to avoid being drawn into a dangerous Great Power War War in the Middle East, they must read this book to understand the forces driving them toward it." - Douglas Macgregor, Colonel (ret), U.S. Army, PhD., Author of Margin of Victory
